Giving is Good for You!

hand heartAs most of you may be aware, I love hosting fundraisers and raising money for charity. I am  always looking for new ways to give back. In fact, in a previous blog, I wrote about why I love running on a charity team team so much. Being able to help and support others is something I am incredibly passionate about. I support many charities and organizations and find true joy and happiness in being able to help others. In fact, I have made a career out of helping others. I want to leave my mark on the world so that when I look back at my life, I can say that I gave it my all, that I helped as many people as I could, making a difference in their lives through my actions and words.   Continue reading Giving is Good for You!

Fundraising Raffle Recap

TeamUpTinyIf you had the opportunity to read my previous blog, London Marathon 2016, you may already know that I have been selected to run for Team Up with Autism Speaks on their elite London Marathon Team.  The marathon will take place on April 24, 2016 and I have pledged to raise $10,000 for this great cause.  In an effort to raise some of the money I held my very first Tricky Tray Raffle.  It took months of planning and hard work, but it was well worth it in the end!  The raffle took place last Sunday and I could not have been happier with how things turned out.

‘Tis The Season for Giving!

tis the seasonAccording to the Giving USA Foundation, charitable giving in the United States reached an estimated $358 billion dollars last year with $258 billion coming from individuals.

It’s amazing to think that millions of people each year donate to charity for the sake of making the world a better place, one dollar at a time.  At a time where we see so much violence on TV and hear stories of death and destruction, it’s nice to know that there are still so many people out there who are kind, who are charitable, and who are working to help make the world a better place.
