Run Inspired!

ME ASAs I pack, plan, and prepare for my upcoming marathon AKA the London Marathon, I’ve been reading quotes to help me get amped up and excited.  

 

During the taper, while your body is recovering you don’t always feel at your best. Your training has decreased and now you’re expected to recover and to chill.  Well, just chilling is hard because I find that when I have too much down time, I begin to overthink, over analyze, and then the nerves set in. I start second guessing myself, my abilities, and my training.

So in order to stop the crazies that sometimes surfaces in my head, I remind myself that I am strong, that I’ve got this, and to trust in my training. I have been working so hard over the last four months and now is my chance to get out there and have fun. My goal is to have an awesome race, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the energy of the crowds, and the opportunity to spend time with my mom and sister who will be traveling with me.  I have a unique opportunity in front of me and plan to relish in it, every step of the way.
