As a former special education teacher, learning consultant, & school administrator, I have stepped out of a traditional school and immersed myself into the world of fitness. Now marathoner, CrossFit coach, yoga instructor and yoga studio owner (www.empoweryoganj.com); I have spent and continue to spend my career caring for and teaching others. I believe in the importance of helping, supporting, and being kind to all beings. I wake each day with the mantra, it’s a great day to be alive and work hard to live up to that mantra by doing great things. I try to not take anything for granted and appreciate the small gifts in life. I have a positive attitude, will, and desire to live a good, strong, healthy, and kind life. I believe that it is important to be grateful for the things we have, tell the people in our lives that we care about them, and do something each day that will challenge us (maybe even scare us a little). We never know if this day will be our last, so live it up!
I started this blog as a way to document my adventures and thoughts in and around yoga, running, and CrossFit as well as to inspire and motivate others to live a fun, healthy, and active life!
